It’s About More Than Flowers

When people think about wedding flowers, they often think about bouquets, centerpieces, and color palettes. While those elements are certainly part of the process, floristry is about something much deeper.

At its heart, floristry is the art of creating atmosphere.

Flowers have a unique ability to transform a space and influence how it feels. They soften architecture, add movement to still spaces, and create a sense of occasion. Long after the individual blooms have faded, the feeling they created remains.

Thoughtful floral design begins long before a single stem is arranged. It starts with understanding the story a couple wants their wedding day to tell. Sometimes that story is romantic and garden-inspired. Sometimes it is modern, sculptural, and understated. More often, it exists somewhere in between.

As florists, we pay attention to details that are easy to overlook. The way light moves through a room. The scale of a venue. The textures already present in the landscape. The experience guests will have as they move through the day.

The flowers themselves are only one piece of the design.

We consider movement, shape, negative space, texture, and seasonality. We think about how a bouquet feels in someone's hands, how an installation frames a ceremony, and how a tablescape invites guests to linger a little longer.

One of the most beautiful aspects of floristry is that it is inherently temporary. Each design exists for a brief moment in time, making it all the more meaningful. The arrangements become part of a celebration, a memory, and a collection of photographs that will be revisited for years to come.

For us, floristry is not about creating perfection.

It is about creating something intentional, personal, and alive. Something that reflects the season, the setting, and the people it was designed for.

Because the most memorable floral designs are not simply seen. They are felt.
