Founder & Creator
I’m Audrey, the founder and creative force behind Illume. My work is rooted in a deep appreciation for florals that feel expressive, intentional and personal. My path to floral design was shaped by a love for art, composition, and the quiet impact of thoughtful details. I believe the beauty of a design exists within contrasts, color, textures, shape, the tension between structure and fluidity. Based in New England, my work is influenced by the surrounding landscapes, the changing seasons, coastal palette and shifting light. There is a natural symbiosis of elements that I try to honor in my work. I prefer arrangements that have room to breathe and feel as though they’ve unfolded naturally rather than being overly arranged. I’m drawn to floral compositions with contrast, texture, negative space and sculptural elements where each individual bloom has a purpose and not a single stem is placed without careful consideration.
